Students should be able to receive care for injuries that could occur during a typical school day without worry and or taking away from their educational experience. A scraped knee from recess whether it's lunch recess and or regular recess. A nosebleed that takes place during a test and or quiz. A twisted ankle that could have occurred during gym. A student who has an upset stomach and just does not feel well and needs vital signs.
I want my students to be able to come to the school nurse for repair and recovery from injury so they can return to learning without worry and or unattended injury to become successful in school which will equal success in their future chosen career.
Our health room is in need of gloves for the nurse size large, kid thermometers, Dixie cups for medication administration, first aid kits to be provided to the classrooms should we not be able to acquire enough supplies for the school nurse health room. Peroxide for cleaning cuts and abrasions, Band-Aids all types, and sizes, cotton balls, disposable kid size ice packs, ace bandages all sizes, and cleaning supplies to keep the room safe and germ free Lysol wipes
