Hello! My name is Ms. Stone, though my students enjoy coming up with "creative" nicknames, such as Ms. Pebbles or Ms. Piedra. I teach 8th grade English Language Arts and I'm also the Speech and Debate coach for our 6th grade team at Villa Intermediate in Santa Ana. This is my first year and I came into a mostly empty classroom, so the more, the merrier! I've been lucky enough to get posters and decorations from my colleagues, as well as a small class library, but other than that, my drawers are empty. My kids are mostly low SES, around 98% hispanic, and full of energy and spunk. I try to make my classroom bright and positive, so hopefully all my projects reflect this goal! Thank you in advance and good luck in your own projects. Sincerely, Emily Stone.
