Hi! Welcome to my AWESOME class! I am a special education teacher for students with severe/profound disabilities. Most of my students have visual impairments as well, which means I get to differentiate instruction by creating some real-world experiences through exploration of concrete objects and various textured materials. I also use lots of picture cues, physical prompting, sensory bins, and alternate communication devices to increase participation by my students. As you may or may not know, students who have multiple impairments require adaptations to their environment in order to access general curriculum.
