Graphing calculators: I serve students in grade 10 who are taking the Algebra 2 course to meet graduation requirements. Approximately ten years ago the district purchased a large number of graphing calculators and many of them have come to the end of their functional lifespan and no longer operate. The high cost of a graphing calculator is beyond the reach of most of our students as 73% of the students qualify for Free-and-Reduced lunch. I am requesting funds to acquire 20 Ti-84 graphing calculators for use in my classroom so that my students can efficiently use the technology to effectively develop their understanding and fluency in rigorous Algebra 2 concepts.
