Because of a disability with my vocal chords, I am no longer able to speak loudly and project to the class. For the past several years I have been in charge of our online credit recovery on campus and have only needed to speak to one or two students at a time rather than to the whole class. Starting in January, though, we are going to add an Algebra 1 class that I will be running as a combination traditional and online class. I will need to be able to spend at least part of most days teaching the whole class. For them to be able to hear me, and for my voice to not give out on me by the end of the day, I will need a microphone.
