Some items are to reward scholars with incentives from our classroom treasure chest. The scholars come to school ready to learn every day and are earning points towards their incentives. Coming to school in a pandemic is causing additional trauma for our scholars. The fidget toys will help scholars to release some of their anxiety and stress while working. These items will help to calm students who have anxiety and who are adjusting to being back to school after such a long time. Not only does our school care about their academic needs, we care about their social and emotional needs as well. I will play the sound machine while scholars are working to help keep them calm. Our classroom is our home away from home and the scholars should feel emotionally safe and relaxed while working. The pencil sharpener is needed because ours broke last week.
