My classroom is made up of diverse learners who came to me at different ability levels, work at different paces, and have different motivations. My students attend school regularly to find a safe and happy environment in the school and my classroom. Our school promotes and rewards positive behavior through a PBIS behavior monitoring program and through campaigns such as “Be a Buddy.” My students are all eager to learn although some are more outward with their enthusiasm for school than others. One of our missions at the school is getting to know the students as best we can so that we understand their interests and what drives them. This knowledge helps me establish strong relationships especially with the children who may be reluctant to let others in.
