Our school has limited funds and resources. Students in multiple classrooms would be able to utilize the kits, and benefit from the wonderful experiences. The Exploring Force and Motion kit will allow my students to explore what friction is, different friction levels on different services, the relationship between weight and friction, and how to reduce friction! The Exploring Gravity Kit will allow my students to explore the relationship between mass and weight. The Gravity Kit will afford students the opportunity to measure weight and volume and calculate density. Through the Exploring Simple Machines Kit, students will be able to investigate the different types of machines (i.e. pulleys, levers, wheels, etc.) and identify the best uses/advantages of each of them. Having access to the science materials will allow science come to life in a new and exciting way. I would like my students to be able to experiences the same success that their peers experience, which is best accomplished through hands-on learning experiences.
