We have a very limited library that I am continuing to add to. My students are constantly asking about things they're hearing in the news or topics their parents are talking about. TIME for Kids and Scholastic News are an excellent publications that bring Science and Social Studies topics to young children as they are happening now. I feel as though current events are an integral part of education that is often missed when looking at curriculum. It is so important for them to begin to interact with their community while they're young so they can make awesome members of society later on.
