I teach high school Biology which has an End of Course assessment and a graduation requirement. This assessment is worth 30% of the total grade. I have begun flipping my classroom where students will watch videos that I have created for content delivery. This helps increase time in the classroom where I spend more time facilitating and guiding groups rather than talking to the class as a whole. These Chromebooks will also allow me to differentiate instruction for my students. Students can be working towards the same goal but reaching it different ways. Our district offers snap and read which is an instructional tool for English Language Learners where this tool will translate or read text in a different language with just a click. It will also allow for remediation for students who may need an extra day to help understand a concept. I believe this will help prepare my students for the EOC and be another step closer to graduation!
