Whole group instruction is a big part of our day. Interactive reading and writing requires my students to be close to the board. We are no longer permitted to have rugs in our classrooms. These cushions will be used in school and provide my kinders a safe place to sit comfortably. It will help to keep my students engaged during lessons and read alouds. I am confident this will increase the effectiveness of my lessons and also build a closer class community. It will help to reach all students , as it is difficult when some are seated in the back of the room due to social distancing requirements.
