I'm requesting 30 copies of the graphic novel, The Tell-Tale Heart. This class set will be used by five classes. My students are in need of visual texts that will support their learning. This trimester we are working on writing personal narratives. I'm using many texts to teach narratives but I would like to use this book to teach artistic choices and to highlight an alternative way to tell a story. This graphic novel will support my English Language Learners in reading The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe. For my advanced students, it will push their analysis and comparrison skills to the next level. By incorporating graphic novels into the classroom, I hope to encourage reluctant readers to become life long readers.
