These optional seating arrangements will promote choices, flexibility, and comfortability in our crew. In First Grade students need movement and actionable intentions to grow and learn. For students who need extra support to "let their wiggles out" the discs will support that during carpet time or small-group lessons. Providing a stand-up table will give students another option to stay active in class. The exercise balls will be an additional choice for students who may need that at taller tables. Exercise balls help with core function which is crucial at this age in order to build a stronger foundation. With the limited physical education at our school, getting as many active opportunities within the classroom is very important--especially to me!
