I am so excited to start a new school year as a second grade teacher (again)! This year I'm looking forward to adding to my practice by teaching my students yoga. As part of my certification program I plan to practice yoga with my students at my school (in my classroom) and my goal is to share this practice with my grade level and the rest of the school. Ultimately, I would love to offer a class after school and to expand my practice and offer yoga for our children (and families) in the Normal Heights community after I become certificated. As a student of yoga and an elementary school teacher, I am more than thrilled to put my two loves together to teach children's yoga. Now I'll be able to connect with my children in different ways: I'll be able to challenge them academically, help them socially and help them develop emotionally with the help of yoga.
