My students are so eager to learn, but with limited resources, it has been really hard to expose them to all the great things that first grade has to offer. Having math and science learning centers will give my students access to hands-on experiments and help them to practice using higher-order thinking skills. Problem-solving is extremely important in math and science and having access to these materials will help to promote this. The laminator and pouches will be used to create weekly reading stations for my students. Because we lost everything in our classroom library, I would like to create a comfortable environment for my students to read. I will use the bean bag chairs to set up a reading station that will include comfortable seating and a great selection of books.
