Fridays at our school are awesome because we get to see each class period, but only for 40 minutes. Culture Fridays are a way to get students excited to participate in Russian Language class with actual Russian books, cartoons, and games. Russian children's books and cartoons are a great way to introduce beginning Russian students to authentic Russian communication with easy to understand dialogue and images. Russian Scrabble is an excellent way to help build student vocabulary as they learn the alphabet and learn an entirely new language in a competitive manner. Scrabble is challenging in English, and Russian will be that much more challenging for them!
