Students are often reluctant to study and embrace poetry, but Gibran's The Prophet is one of the most beautiful books of poetic prose ever written. It will open my students hearts and minds to the beauty of poetry and poetic prose. I can honestly think of no greater gift to give my students as they embark upon this journey we call life. Not only will we be able to read each section on love, life, work, children, etc., together in class, but students will have the opportunity to write and individually reflect upon the wisdom as it applies to their lives.

About my class
