Even though I am a Social Studies teacher, I assign extensive writing and reading assignments to help students become high school ready. The requested printer will help students accomplish this goal. My plan will be to have one machine that will increase the chances of having students come in to school knowing that they will have the ability to show their hard work; eliminating the mortifying situation of not having a final draft. Students will also be able to copy important research information pertaining to any project assigned to them. Students, of course, will be monitored but they will have a safe place to print, copy, scan anything they need to. Having printing, scanning, and copying capabilities in the room will vastly improve efficiency and give students access to tools they may not have at home or in school.
