The basketballs, soccer balls, volleyballs, stacking cups, juggling recourses, and other equipment I have requested for this project will make a difference in my students' learning because my school will be able to have more equipment for each student to use, thus improving each student's "time on task." Students' skills in the sports and activities taught during Physical Education improve when they are able to practice the skill a lot of times, instead of waiting for equipment to come available. This is also very important because the more time the students spend using equipment in P.E. class, the more physical activity they receive. This, in turn, raises their heart rate, allows them more time for exercise, and reduces classroom disruptions. The students will be more engaged during each class period, and all classes grades K-5 will benefit from this project. With more activity, each student's physical fitness improves and they are much healthier and happier students!
