Unfortunately, my classroom lacks the appropriate materials to efficiently model mathematical thinking for both myself and my students. We have one small chalkboard in the room and no white boards. Often times, modeling mathematical thinking for a problem takes excessive time and wastes classroom materials such as lots of chart paper! My vision is to work through problems directly on the document using the document reader. Even better, my students can come up and show their classmates exactly what they were thinking while working through a problem. The document reader can be used for displaying written work as well as visual representations using manipulatives. This will create the ideal learning community within in the classroom. Thank you, from myself and my students, for your time and consideration.
