This session sparked their young minds as leaders to then create a workshop for other middle school girls. During this student-led workshop, the GALS group consisting of middle school girls in grades 6,7, and 8 had the opportunity to create personalized informational slides that highlighted key ideas for maintaining healthy hygiene habits and self-care routines. The resources include pouches, pads, feminine wipes, lip balm, hand cream, deodorant, and sanitary napkin bags. The event sparked thoughtful conversations about self-empowerment and the importance of taking care of themselves both physically and mentally.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the wide range of materials, they were both surprised and excited. They were amazed by the abundance of supplies and eager to share them with their peers. It was clear how much they appreciated the opportunity to give products to others concerning personal care and hygiene. Looking ahead, the next steps for the students include reflecting on what worked well and what could be improved during the workshop. They will be identifying the strengths and areas for growth to help enhance future events. Additionally, they have already started planning for next year's Women's Month event. My administration couldn't believe that even our students with special needs were the students who were the most talkative and the most who shared out.
