I have 8 student's ranging in age from 14 to 21 who all have the primary disability of Autism. Our school is located in an urban setting in Illinois. My classroom has a very diverse population and their abilities range widely. Many of my students are visual and tactile learners who struggle with basic comprehension skills. Despite these struggles, my students are eager learners and love to look at pictures in books; especially books that have pictures of fish!
