As a brand new teacher, I was given an empty classroom. Over the summer I was able to collect hundreds of books for my students. Each day my students are encouraged to read books. Unfortunately, I do not have any furniture to house all of our wonderful books that we will be using every day. This bookshelf will make books from our classroom library more accessible for the students. All of my students are English Language Learners and reading books is an important part of the process when learning English. I believe this bookshelf will encourage my students to read more throughout the day.
