I am looking to add alternative seating to my classroom to use during everyday learning. Students will be able to choose between pillows, stability balls, wobble chairs, or seat cushions. Using alternative seating will allow students to move around when necessary, allowing them to concentrate longer and fuller. Tables will be lowered or heightened to meet the needs of these new materials. Children who find it difficult to maintain their posture all day long while sitting in the traditional classroom chair often benefit from simple position alternatives. I cannot wait to see how beneficial these new items will be to my students!
