Hi, everyone! My name is Allison Voigt and I am a 4th-grade teacher in Gwinnett County - the largest county in Georgia. I work at Norcross Elementary School, which is a Title 1, predominantly Hispanic school. Many of our students are native Spanish speakers. This often impedes their ability to read and write in English on grade-level. As a 4th-grade teacher, I work consistently with my students on the necessary reading strategy skills, as well as decoding skills to prepare them for a life where they love and enjoy reading. We are a classroom of scholars and we work very hard to be successful!
