These notebooks are used in lieu of textbooks as we do not have math textbooks at our school. Students cut and paste different worksheets and materials into the notebooks. They use the notebooks to study and prepare for exams. I have former students that keep their notebooks to use for future math classes. Whiteboards are an essential tool in the math classroom. Students are able to use them for partner work and independent practice. Whiteboard work helps increase engagement in tasks as it is an exciting change of modality. We currently do not have any whiteboards for our classroom and students will greatly benefit from their use.
