Students in Music Studio Lab Club are interested in composing music and learning to play piano. We have started talking about piano fingerings and labeling the notes on the keyboard. A few students have access to instruments at home, but most do not have access to a piano outside of school. We have 5 student keyboards, but no power cords, benches, or anything else needed to make a keyboard lab successful. Providing funding for my project will give students a chance to learn to play piano properly during our club time, and hopefully inspire them to continue making music throughout their lives.
