We will use the Lakeshore Calming Colors classroom rug I am requesting to learn math, reading, writing, phonics, social studies, and science together. My students love to share their ideas and work with one another. By having this large classroom rug, we can gather each day while we learn. Students can discuss with one another and build community. While we will be learning academics, my students will be building relationships by learning from one another. Having a new classroom rug will bring smiles to their faces! Being able to sit in a place, together, that is comfortable will allow my students to feel at ease and ready to learn. I love to have my students sit in a large circle when learning and having discussions, and this new rug would be for that.
