Having books at a variety of reading level will allow my students to challenge themselves without choosing a book that is too complex to access. Specifically for those who have recently come to the US and are working to learning English, the ability to choose a book in either English or Spanish for a free choice read expresses that their home language is valued and important. All students deserve access to books that they can read that are reflective of who they are, and others who they may like to know. My students love reading and would love new interesting texts!

About my class
