Scholastic Scope magazines provide high interest text in multiple genres, provides writing lessons and opportunities, and asks students to think critically about what they are reading. They will learn to read closely, to analyze text, to write about what they are reading, and to connect what they read to their own lives. Many of the articles in Scholastic Scope also have national, world, and historical content, so students will also gain knowledge of relevant real world events. Students will become better readers, writers, and thinkers with the use of this magazine. Scholastic Scope provides additional practice in reading and writing on topics that students find relevant and engaging. These supplemental materials are directly tied to Common Core standards and they provide an opportunity for practice on important college and career ready skills.
