Read aloud Storytime is a fan favorite with my students. A diverse assortment of books for the class will make remote Storytime more engaging. It will allow students the opportunity to experience books with diverse characters that will inspire and satisfy their hunger for stories as budding young readers. The current class library exemplifies very little diversity. Having access to stories with characters that look like them and others will increase their appreciation for the things we have in common and celebrate the unique experiences and gifts of others. Having access to this diverse read aloud book collection will increase their confidence and empathy. The students will be delighted to hear relevant stories from this wide range of diverse literature as they improve their reading, listening and social skills.
