Your gift has made a real difference in our classroom.\r\nThese new texts have opened the door to important reading skills and lessons. Through Dog Heroes, students are learning to identify themes like courage and loyalty, analyze character traits, and make connections between historical events and real-world situations. The book also encourages critical thinking as students discuss how animals have impacted human lives throughout history.\r\nIn our book club, reading looks like lively discussions, small-group collaboration, and students eagerly sharing their thoughts. Book club meetings have become a safe space where students practice comprehension strategies, build vocabulary, and develop confidence in expressing their ideas.\r\nOne student, who was initially hesitant to participate, now comes to every meeting excited to share her favorite heroic dog story. Another student has started researching more about rescue dogs because the book sparked his curiosity. These moments remind us how powerful reading can be when students have access to engaging, meaningful texts.\r\nThank you again for making this possible.
