My students are the at-risk youth you hear about. Most are English language learners, living in one of the poorest neighborhoods in Southern California. Every student at my school qualifies for free lunch. Despite the challenges they face, they come to school and give it their all! As their teacher, I am doing my best to make meaningful learning experiences, spark their creativity, and inspire them to attend college.
