If you will see, this project is asking solely for food and drink. Essential needs for all of us, especially children who are learning. The group of students I teach and case manage are those in need. They all receive services for specialized academic instruction because they need support and remediation to fully access the general education curriculum. Students need to be energized. Don't we all agree students should also have problem-solving/critical thinking skills, focus, and fun in the classroom? The majority of my students come to school without having breakfast. This is simply because they walk to school and did not have the time, they did not have essentials at home, or they "weren't" hungry at the time. Once they start using their brain in the classroom, they often times need the fuel. The same for snacks throughout the day. At this time, I typically keep milk and chocolate milk from the school in my classroom refrigerator. I'd like to expand and provide more for my students. Let's remember that this action goes beyond simply having food for them to eat... it is showing that we (with your donation) CARE. Thank you.
