I am hoping to receive bouncy bands for my classroom in order to increase student focus. As many of you may recall from being in school, students are often looking for ways to move their feet or rock in their chairs. This movement helps to keep kids focused while working at a desk. With desks, rocking and swinging can be unsafe or distracting to other classmates. Bouncy bands offer an opportunity for students to keep their feet moving while they are learning. The students in my class have a lot going on in their lives outside of school, so if I can provide something as simple as a better learning environment for them, I want to find the means to fulfill that.
