Our classroom needs a cd/cassette player at our listening center. Shortly after the school year started, our cd/cassette player broke. For the remainder of the year, we weren't able to enjoy the listening center because we didn't have a cd/cassette player that worked. The students were disappointed for this was one of their favorite centers. They enjoyed listening to a story being read to them. They enjoyed turning the pages of the book. They enjoyed talking about the story when it was over. A new cd/cassette player will ensure that our listening center is up and running. Being able to utilize the listening center again will increase student engagement in learning to read.
