I have always included movement and wellness breaks in my classroom schedule as a health and physical education teacher I understand the importance of overall wellness as an adult. I want to show our students techniques on how to have overall wellness. Every student has unique needs and may not always need to take full class breaks together. The Bean Bag and Chairs will give students a wellness corner to have an area to clear their mind. The speaker and diffuser and will make it almost spa like playing calming music with a calming scent. Schools are the ideal setting for students to improve and maintain their physical activity behaviors. Middle school is that age where students need an area to clear the mind and have a safe space to do so. My vision is a space that will be available to all learners and will provide a brief reprieve from academics. Wellness Corners will make a difference for my students and teach them a technique for their future wellness.
