So many of our history resources are Euro and male centric. It is time to learn more about the men and women who are not the key figures commonly covered in our state adopted U.S. History texts. There are a plethora of alternative narratives and books to support a well-rounded American history. With the resources gained through donors' choose, I would purchase books that are not currently in our library. These resources would help me provide my eager students with more perspectives of our nation's rich history, particularly that of women and people of color. Additional effort to obtain books in their Spanish editions would be sought.
