My students stretch from 4 year olds with juice stained lips to 13 year olds ready to be teenagers. In the library I have all the students. Whether they are little or big they come to the library to find something to engage their minds. Some of my students have access at home to information, but many of my students do not have access either for financial reasons or because we live out in the country where Internet connections are weak. Our school library and librarian are the strongest place to close the digital divide. When is comes to books and computers the children light up when they come to the library and find just the right book or just the right website for what they are curious about. With instruction from the librarian, students are learning the beginnings of computer programming, how to search information resources and how to evaluate the information sources they find.
