I would like to transform my classroom to make my learning space more student-centered. I was able to observe a "Flexible Seating" classroom. I was amazed at how engaged the students were while learning independently or with peers. A "flexible seating" classroom allows the student to choose daily what type of seating they would like for the day. This also helps with students who are overly active, and have trouble staying on task. Research has also stated that this type seating helps to improve posture and blood-flow. I'm requesting a variety of seating options including Wobble Chairs, Stability Cushions, Balancing Pods, and garden knee mats to improve academics and good behavior. Having these seating choices can promote good behavior and success! I'm excited about this journey
