As Van Gogh said, "I dream my painting and then paint my dream", kids can paint their dreams. Fostering creativity won’t just increase your child’s chances of becoming the next Van Gogh. You’re also helping him developmentally, socially, and emotionally. In our class, we use art to create our dreams. In science, we create animals, weather, seasons, etc. For Social Studies we create people like community helpers, our president, and other figures in America. In Reading, we create characters to go with our story. Many times my students are just creating, they enjoy the time they have to just make their dream a reality. By learning art, “Children will be better off in the long run if they’re allowed just to be in the moment and express themselves,” Paula Bernstein
