Having options for students to engage in reading allows each child to find their favorite print type and helps them to continue their love of learning. My students come from areas of low socioeconomics and face many hardships. One of those difficulties being the lack of reading material at home to use for homework. This often results in unfinished reading homework and embarrassment for the student. By providing Storyworks for my students, not only will we be able to use this student magazine as a learning resource in the classroom, but students will also be able to take their copies home and have reading materials at home. I am confident that with this magazine subscription reading will become more fun for my students as well as more accessible. With this great take home resource, students will be able to complete homework without worry and will have an engaging piece of text to keep for future reading and learning
