I am a first year probationary Kindergarten teacher. I have a wonderful class in a 100% free and reduced lunch district. We do not have the technology in our room that most classrooms have like, Promethean board, teacher laptop, student materials, etc. I have purchased many pencils, crayons, notebooks and many other things, even reading books. Just a brief personal note. I am not a 20+ first year teacher, I am a 50+ first year teacher with two children of my home that I am raising. This is my third career (retail general manager, stay and home mom and now teacher). I wish I had more to give my students but with a beginning teacher salary it is not possible to do that and care for my own home and children. Thank you for your help.
