Our students are K-5 students who struggle in reading. They are the lowest 25% in the school and many are below the poverty level. On average, my students come to me at least 2 years behind in reading. It is a challenge but rewarding at the same time. Our school is 81% free and reduced lunch. Our demographic make-up is 51% African American, 8% Hispanic, 41% White.
