My students are from low socio-economic families and many of them do not have computers at home. They are at a real disadvantage in regard to technology, compared to other schools throughout the state of Arizona. My students thrive when using technology and they look forward to the chance to use various computer programs. It would be wonderful to be able to do classroom projects using technology. I have been teaching at my school for 14 years and it has drastically changed over the years. It is a Title 1 school. We have several families who can not afford a home, food, or daily basic needs let alone technology. I know that having Chromebooks in my classroom would bring a sense of excitement and a new thirst for learning. I can not tell you how excited the students in my classroom would be if they were given new Chromebooks to work with. It would give them the same advantage that other students are receiving at their schools. We would all be so appreciative!!!
