This project will give my students the tools that they need to help them to stay focused and calm. All of these sensory items will be utilized to help students when they need some quiet time to regain their focus or if they simply need a sensory break. The students will each be equipped with personal "calm down" tool-kits that they will be able to utilize when they need help regulating their emotions or if they need a sensory break that will help them improve their focus. These tools will help reduce behavioral issues in classroom settings by allowing my students to apply their coping strategies in real-world settings. They have been taught strategies for emotional regulation now they just need the tools to help them apply the strategies that they have learned.
