Our classroom needs 3 ipads to help them become ready for the future. I want them to use apps to become smart digital consumers. On the flip-side, I want them to become wise producers as well. I want them to have an opportunity to film news casts as they respond to literature. I want them to photograph examples of math and create content that can teach other students these core skills. I want them to have a chance to read digitally and be able to access all the online resources that are available in our digital age. I want to assign things via Google Classroom, instead of always copying stack after stack of response sheets. By working on iPads, students can work at their own pace, at their own level, and in their learning style. My struggling students will be able to gain confidence in content areas as well as technology. My students that excel can be stretched and challenged. Students of all levels will collaborate together as they create meaningful projects in many content areas. Not only will my students be able to improve in reading, writing in arithmetic; they will also gain social skills that will have a positive impact on the rest of their life.
