Greetings! I am the School Librarian at an elementary school in Durham, NC. The school's library is heavily used and is the central meeting place for students and staff! Raising funds is often a challenge due to the fact that most of our students come from low-income households. District funds are limited. The library is in desperate need of a complete makeover. Most of the furniture and shelving is dated and falling apart. While we were able to purchase "appropriate" library tables last year, we had to use our designated "book budget" to make the purchase possible. We desperately need comfortable seats to accompany our new tables. With your help we can make the library a more inviting place for our students and staff...one project at a time!
