Research shows that exposure to graphic novels can dramatically improve reading development for reluctant and struggling readers. These lively storylines and illustrations present complex characters, evolving plots and a variety of text structures. Experiencing literature in this format motivates students to READ MORE, and reading more increases fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. Graphic novels get kids excited to read. Motivation + Engagement = Confidence A lifelong reader is a lifelong learner!
