My class is a Pre-K Collaborative classroom, what that means is that we have general education and students receiving special education services all together learning from each other. In my class we focus on their abilities rather than their disabilities. My students are engaged in play while also learning how to solve many problems. They love science and math and I would love for them to realize they can use those concepts to further their cognitive development. They come into my classroom ready to explore and learn. I want to cultivate this passion in my students. To do this, I need to increase the resources I currently have to provide my students real STEM experiences. My students, most of whom are 4 and 5 year olds, love to learn and explore new things. Most of them have never been in school before and my classroom is their first experience to explore, learn, and grow! They inspire me to be the best teacher and to be the best person I can be. They are amazing little human beings!
